![]() Michael K. FitzpatrickMichael K. Fitzpatrick has been practicing law in New Orleans, Louisiana since 1971. After graduating from Tulane Law School, he served for two years as law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge James A. Comiskey. His trial experience includes practice in both State and Federal courts throughout Louisiana and for the past 38 years he has handled a wide array of insurance defense cases including first party coverage claims, arson/fraud and liability defense. Mr. Fitzpatrick obtained both his undergraduate and law degrees from Tulane University (B.A., 1968, J.D. 1971). He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1971. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the New Orleans Bar Association. Mr. Fitzpatrick is legal counsel to several volunteer fire departments. He has also served on the City of New Orleans Arson Task Force. He is the author of "Discovery Strategy of the Insurer in Litigating the Civil Arson Cases: Winning Without Getting Burned," American Bar Association Section of Tort and Insurance Practice and Division for Professional Education, 1993. Mr. Fitzpatrick holds an "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell. |
